#1 Ghost Tour℠ is Savannah's Original Online Self-Guided Ghost Tour for your PHONE. The Tour includes Over 50 Haunted Places & Savannah's BEST Ghost Stories. All haunted places are in the downtown Historic District of Savannah, Georgia.



#1 Ghost Tour is actually 3 tours in one. Each tour has a separate online map. Tours are about 1 to 3 miles in length, and can be walked in just a few hours, depending on your chosen speed. A bonus Twilight Tour is also included for an evening walking ghost tour for the fearless Ghost Hunters. The Twilight Tour contains a selection of the locations from the other 3 main tours.



The Ghost Tour Locations, Photos, and Online Maps, are free to all Ghost Hunters. Membership unlocks the hidden Ghost Stories, with complete details, and haunted images. Tour membership allows instant total access for 14 days.



Many of the ghost stories have been told for over 100 years. We strive to tell the stories the way we think they were originally told. Our staff is available 5 days per week to assist in any way we can, including help with any questions. This tour is rated PG-13 and is not recommended for young children. The free public areas are all tame, educational, and entertaining; however, the Members-Only ghost stories are the real deal, with ghostly images, and mature talk of actual murders, suicides, tragic accidents, violent events, and such.

Marshall House Hotel - #1 Ghost Tour

The Marshall House Hotel

The Marshall House Hotel, located at 123 East Broughton Street in Savannah, was built in 1851. During the Civil War it was occupied by General Sherman, and used as a Union hospital. For a few years after the war, it was used as a fire department. In 1899 it reopened as a hotel again as The Marshall House Hotel, and featured electric lights and hot and cold baths on every floor.

Foley House Inn - #1 Ghost Tour

The Foley Inn

The Foley House was originally built in 1896 by Honoria Foley. She was the widow of a wealthy Irish immigrant, Owen Foley. The current Foley House was constructed over the ashes of a home, previously at the same location, which was destroyed in the Great Savannah Fire of 1889. The Inn is situated just to the south of the Independent Presbyterean Church, and overlooks the northwest corner of Chippewa Square on Bull Street.

Desoto Hotel - #1 Ghost Tour

The Desoto Hotel

Located in the center of the downtown Savannah historic district at 15 East Liberty Street, the current, and recently modernized, DeSoto Hotel is convenient to everything. This hotel was built on the site of the original Hotel DeSoto which was a 300-room resort, designed by William G. Preston and built in 1890. The original hotel closed in 1965 and was, sadly, totally demolished to make way for the new hotel. The present hotel opened in 1968 as the DeSoto Hilton. It was renovated in 2017, at a cost of $9.4 million. The Desoto Hotel is currently managed by Southerly Hotels.

Gastonian Inn - #1 Ghost Tour

The Gastonian Inn

The Gastonian Inn is located at 220 E Gaston Street in Savannah at the corner of Lincoln Street. Gaston Street is a beautiful street in the downtown Historic District. According to the Inn website, it comprises 2 adjoining Regency-Italianate-style mansions built in 1868. There are 17 plush rooms with working fireplaces, flat-screen TVs, DVD players and free Wi-Fi. Antiques are everywhere, and some rooms have claw-foot or whirlpool tubs, 4-poster beds, chandeliers and verandas. Also, a courtyard, surrounded by brick walls, offers shaded seating with a lovely garden.

Hamilton-Turner Inn Inn - #1 Ghost Tour

Hamilton-Turner Inn

The Hamilton-Turner House Inn, located at 330 Abercorn Street, was built by architect J.D. Hall in 1873 for Mr. Samuel Pugh Hamilton. The property overlooks southeast corner of Lafayette Square.

Interestingly, in 1883, Mr. Hamilton, who was an executive at the Brush Electric Light & Power Company, made it the first residence to have electricity. By 1886, the whole house had electric lights.

The 1790 Inn

The 17 Hundred 90 Inn is located at 307 East President Street at the corner of Lincoln Street in downtown historic Savannah. It is just a few blocks south of Broughton Strret. Across Lincoln Street is the Owens-Thomas House. On the other side of East President Street is the Kehoe House Inn. The main (western) part of the Inn was built between 1821 and 1823 by Steel White.

Kehoe House Inn - #1 Ghost Tour

Kehoe House Inn

The Kehoe House is a large Queen Anne style mansion located at 123 Habersham Street. It overlooks Columbia Square from the northeast corner, and sits kittycorner to the Davenport House. It is also just across East President Street from the 1790 Inn.

The Kehoe House was built in 1892 for William Kehoe, the owner of an ironworks foundry. William lived in the mansion with his wife and their ten children.

The Planters Inn

The Planters Inn is located at 29 Abercorn Street in Savannah. The hotel overlooks the southwest corner of Reynolds Square on Abercorn Street. The hotel was originally called the Wesley Hotel when it was built about 1920. Prior to that, it was the residence of Mr. Benjamin Burroughs, who was the business partner of Oliver Sturgess, who purchased the property in 1812 after the big fire of 1796 had destroyed the parsonage and residence of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism.

The Brice Inn is located at 601 East Bay Street, near the eastern edge of the downtown historic district of Savannah. Previously, the Mulberry Inn, this location was originally McMahon's Cotton Warehouse, built in the 1860's. Over the years, it has been the location of a number of businesses, including a livery stable, Coca Cola Bottling Company, wholesale grocer, tin shop, machine shop. The Brice Inn is situated across the street from the Pirate House.

Olde Harbour Inn - #1 Ghost Tour

Olde Harbour Inn

The Olde Harbour Inn is located between River Street and East Bay Street at 508 Factors Walk in Savannah, and overlooks the beautiful Savannah River.


The original structure was built on a stone foundation about 200 years ago, but the upper portions were mostly destroyed by fire in 1892. The current building was built on the solid foundation of the original one. The site was the former home of the Standard Oil Company up to 1907; and in 1930, it was occupied by Alexander Brothers Company, a blue jeans and overall factory. The Inn was renovated in 1985, and opened as the Olde Harbour Inn in 1987.
